Before the AI fever, we were fantasizing about how this robot world would be for too long.
In the project management department, I helped Ford Motors put online a solution that looked like AI, but wasn't at all!
During the Brazilian Auto Show, the audience would ask questions to our ”AI” called ”Ford Responde” (Ford Answers) through an online form. Once the question was in our system, the copywriters would elaborate the text, the motion designers would do the animations, an so on...until the answers was uploaded in our ”cloud".
My favorite was this guy, who asked Ford Motors about when he would get a Ford Ranger, since he was the biggest advertiser of the truck in his small town. This is what our ”AI” answered:
